Acai Berry and Losing Body Weight

The acai berry is, is a variety of palm tree. It produces small sized drupes which are black and purple in color and resembles a blue berry. It grows in clusters around the floodplains of Central America and South America. It is commonly known as cabbage palm. It helps in weight loss. Acai berry is classed as a superfood because of a high amount of anti-oxidant content in it. The seed of acai berry contains lanolic acid, which is same as the one found in fish oil and flax seed which is essential for enhancing digestion. Most of the cases of obesity are related to digestion problems other than hormonal disorders. Generally, proper digestion helps in the utilization of nutrients present in the food, taken by us. But, it is also related to an unusual increase in appetite which forces us to take more food than required. When we take more food than required, it adds unnecessary or excess fat which causes weight gain. However, it is yet to be proved as to whether it is a miracle weight loss cure or not. The high amount of amino-acids and minerals contained in it along with a high amount of fiber helps us make feel less hungry by suppressing the appetite. Acai berries combined with healthy diet and exercise is more effective in losing weight.
