Pilates are enlivening workouts that help in sustaining the energy levels of the body throughout a day. One can get long, lean, fit bodies by doing it. It supports weight loss in many ways and helps in getting a trimmer appearance. Pilates help in boosting up the calorie-burning potential of our body and tones our body as well. As it is different from an aerobic exercise, some people do it in combination with aerobics. By this, weight loss can be maximized. Pilates work by combining breathing techniques with some rolling machines. It focuses on the improvement of the body’s core by adding more flexibility and strength to it. Compared to yoga, it is more dynamic because it involves stretching and targets three things-flexibility, posture and strength, all at a time. By using the Pilates machine, the individuals go through some systematic moves, by holding their torsos in place and moving their limbs in different directions. This tests the balance and strength of the individual’s body, other than fitness. Some do other exercises along with pilates for better results.. It is a good supplement to any exercise routine. However, as it is strenuous, Pilates are not recommended for elderly people and pregnant women. |
