Teen Weight Loss and Healthy Habits |
It is very dangerous for a teen to be obese. They could run into a lot of problems and even with growing there could be issues. The problem with most teens is that they either want a quick fix with weight loss, or just don't focus on it like they should. Most of the time it takes a mentor, or someone else to support them. A parent or mentor can really influence a teen with weight matters. A heart to heart conversation is often needed when it comes to weight problems. The teen needs to know from the parent or mentor that they can not change the weight with the teen but they can help with showing the teenager what kind of decision they should make and guide them in the right direction. One mistake that most mentors and parents make is that they talk about the fat or either the thin which can cause the teenager to become discouraged. Instead of going down that road the teen needs to learn about the behaviors that could help encourage a weight that is health with them. They need to know and learn some goals that could be realistic. A lot of teens might try to go into a fantasy world about the goals and that is why they need help and guidance |
