Watermelon for weight loss

Watermelons are the best summer foods that can make you feel cooler as you drink a glass full of reddish pulpy juice. We all love the fruit without knowing that it is actually a weight loss fruit. As watermelons are really tasty and we definitely will not say no to it, it can be made a part of our daily weight loss plan. This makes it even more effective and beneficial for weight loss. Watermelon is a rich source of lycopene – an antioxidant that contains very little calories and makes a perfect diet. Also, it has lots of vitamins, including B, B1, B6, C and A.
Watermelons can be taken either in the form of juice or eaten as a whole fruit, the choice is entirely yours. However, if you want to cool it before having, it is likely to lose some of its healthy properties.  Experts often recommend watermelon to be eaten directly without storing it in the refrigerator.

Watermelons are also known o be “negative” calorie foods, alike other fruits, such as pineapple, asparagus, papaya and grapefruit, negative calorie fruits are the ones that require more calories for being digested than they actually contain. This is however, not a scientifically proven fact
